Onion Bajje



Ingredients:

2cup Besan Flour
5 tsp Rice flour
¼ cup onions chopped
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp chilli powder
Asafetida
Pinch of garam masala
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
Salt to taste
Oil for fry
1 tsp Finely Chopped Curry Leaves

Direction:

Cut the Onions into thin slices. Mix the flour with salt, chilli powder, garam masala asafetida, ginger garlic paste, curry leaves and rice powder in approximately 3/4cup of water. The dough should not be too thick or too loose. Now put the onion pieces into the flour. The layers of the onion should not be separated. Heat the pan with oil. Put the onions dipped in the flour into the oil and deep fry. When it turns golden brown color, remove from the oil. Serve hot with coriander chutney.

Note: Brinjal Bajje, Potato Bajje Chilly Bajje (Big chillies not very hot) can also be prepared in the same way.
