Semiya vada

Ingredients:

2 cups Semiya (boiled)
1 ½ cup Potatoes (boiled)
1 cup Split Bengal gram (chana dal)
½ cup Rice flour
2 Onions, chopped
1 tsp Cumin seeds
2 Green chilies, chopped
2 tsp Ginger, garlic paste
1 tsp Garam masala
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
2 tsp water
Salt to taste
2 cups oil

Direction:

Soak chana dal for 1 hr. Mix into a thick paste with little water. In chana dal add rice flour, boiled samiya, mashed potatoes, onions, cumin seeds green chilies, and add ginger, garlic paste, garam masala, curry leaves and coriander leaves. Add salt to taste. Mix into a dough. Divide the dough into 20 portions. Shape each portion into a flat round vada and keep aside. Heat the pan with oil and deep fry. Remove and drain on a grease absorbent paper. Or put in oven for 2 minutes. Serve hot semiya vada with any suitable chutney.
